MasterChef Italia at National Museum of cinema in Turin

MasterChef Italia at National Museum of cinema in Turin

The tenth evening of the thirteenth season of MasterChef Italia saw the aspiring chefs try their hand at an exciting test outside, directly at the National Cinema Museum in Turin, within the splendid context of the Mole Antonelliana. The dreaded ordeal was reviewed by a mix of food and film critics. Each pair of aspiring chefs had the arduous task of reproducing within their dish the mood of one of the three categories of cinematographic styles inspired by famous films of the past shot in Turin: horror, blockbuster and Italian comedy.

The Red Brigade was supposed to be inspired by Profondo Rosso by Dario Argento. The Blue Brigade had to create a dish that was reminiscent of the comedy Al bar dello sport with Lino Banfi and Jerry Calà. The Yellow Brigade, on the other hand, had to be inspired by Cabiria, an Italian blockbuster from 1914. Before receiving the judgment of the team of critics, all the dishes were paired with our Alta Langa DOCG Metodo Classico.

The MasterChef Italia trip to the Piedmont area was a wonderful opportunity to bring the world of Duchessa Lia together with the entire team of judges of the well-known TV program. The meeting was the icing on the cake of a partnership that has lasted for several years and which has demonstrated the great flexibility of our wines in combination with the various dishes prepared during each episode.
