How to choose the best wine glass?

Wine glasses that are ideal for tasting have these characteristics:
-
Material: must strictly be glass or thin crystal. -
Color: transparent, smooth to better appreciate the color and reflections. -
Shape: goblet-shaped, allowing a grip from the base or stem, essential for keeping the temperature constant and hand odors away from the nose. -
Right conditions: washed only with hot water and not with detergents which alter the smell and the formation of the "arches" due to the surfactants they contain; -
Perfect conditions: the glass can also be "wined" by pouring a small amount of wine to taste, rotating it and then pouring it into another glass.
Wine glass pairing
Given the specific characteristics of the glass, let's now look at the glass-wine pairing for correct tasting based on the type.
